Last week on Digital Spaghetti, I got to nerd out about YouTube with Hayden Hillier-Smith and Maya Murillo. We chatted about up-and-coming creator Jordan Studdard work, and I wanted to share his newest video with you all this week as well!

This year’s Olympics had some nail-biting dramatic moments: American Cole Hocker’s 1500 meter upset, Sha’Carri Richardson clinching the 4×100m (I’ve never seen anyone’s legs move that fast), U.S. women’s soccer team winning gold for the first time in 12 years (with some insane saves from goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher - yes I cried), Sifan Hassan was the first Olympian to medal in all 3 distance events since 1952, USA vs. Serbia in men’s basketball, USA vs. France in women’s basketball (their eighth straight gold), and of course, pommel horse guy patiently waiting his turn and breaking the sixteen-year-long curse of U.S. men’s gymnastics.

Honored to have helped work on Dodford’s newest documentary, “The Robin William’s Supernova”, for the ten-year anniversary of his death. I was at Disneyland this past weekend, and was touched to see a whole segment of the fireworks show dedicated to his genie character from Aladdin.

My Dad is a big fan of National Geographic, and shared this incredible article on the improvements in wildlife photography over the years, focusing on capturing the detail of a hummingbird in flight. A long read but totally worth it!

Another fun project-based video from Evan Monsma - this time he collaborated with another DIY YouTuber to make an injection molder, which is a machine that lets you replicate small trinkets using melted plastic. Evan also launched his website recently, where you can support the channel for $5 a month! Can’t wait until he drops merch.

Artists of the week: hnicholsillustration, who does fashion drawing + ASMR. Inky paper house makes cozy-looking watercolor scenes. An awesome mural of local kids in Italy, by achesdub. Also love cool_lookin_bug, who creates fun illustrations from photos people send him.
