Hey! It’s been months since my last newsletter - I went on my first business trip to Patreon’s HQ in San Francisco, moved in to a new apartment with my girlfriend, and am stoked for the new year. We also experienced devastating wildfires here in LA - you can find a list of GoFundMe’s here if you’d like to donate.

Here are some of my favorite gems from the last couple months:

  1. Studio tour videos from Laura Kampf, Sam Dawson, Canoopsy, and Sam Snowden. There’s something so energizing about seeing someone’s creative space, like it’s an extension of their brain.

  2. Music: ROLE MODEL’s “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” (I love his outfit here!!) and his cover of The 1975’s “Somebody Else”, “might bang, might not” and “Heart on Fire” by Little Simz, “Friends” by Raury, “Winter is the best season for biking” by Stevie Bill, “Unwind” by Sam Valdez, “Tie Your Shoes” by Beatrix, “THINGS BEHIND THINGS BEHIND THINGS” by Bon Iver, “Antibalas” by Sare Kon Kon, “Mirrors” by Caravan Palace, “You’ve Made It” by Gilligan Moss, “Scorsese Baby Daddy” by SZA, and Djo’s cover of Haim’s “Gasoline”.

  3. Tiny Desk concerts by Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter! Doechii performs “Denial Is A River” with Issa Rae.

  4. Becca Farsace, a former video producer for The Verge, started her own YouTube channel.

  5. Sara Hagale (@shagey_) is one of my favorite illustrators on instagram. I also loved this piece by @abstractsunday.

  6. The Balkan Kitchen is a cookbook with all the foods I grew up eating! Highly recommend :)

  7. A blast from the past at the Hoog Catharijne Shopping Mall in Utrecht, 1981. Thanks for the gem Anya!

  8. Wishing I could carry around this bright green Japanese tool box all day.

  9. Really enjoyed the BTS of Jon Stitch’s painting for the cover of Sports Illustrated.

  10. Olympic gold medalist Trinity Rodman (of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team) on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
